Hi, my name is Adam and I am the founder of Ash and Iron. Since childhood I have had a passion for making things with my hands. A few years ago I discovered the world of green woodworking and through that I gained a new respect and love of tools. During my time at university, I balanced my workload with my love of green woodwork. I then started thinking of my future more and more and found the pull of working with my hands a lot more enticing than working behind a computer in an office. I got a lot of help from friends who taught me the basics of forging and knife making. With their encouragement I decided to take up knife making full time after leaving my degree. I am forever grateful to those who helped me get to where I am today and to those who support me with buying what I make. Thank you!
