1 day handle making for slöjd knives -at Ellekers Wood

On this course you will learn the process behind handle making for slöjd knives.

Adam will guide you through the selection and preparation of the right timber, the design of your handle and then step by step, making your own handle using seasoned birch from Ellekers Wood, utilising lap shaves, bench vices and a range of tools and techniques that you can then use again at home for future projects. Tools will be provided for use on the day.

If you already have one of Adam’s slöjd blades (or something very similar) please bring it along to use. Adam’s new laser sloyd blades can be supplied for an extra cost ranging from £23-£27 depending on which size you prefer.

Later in the day, the course will then explore how to decorate and customise the handle, really making it personal and unique.
